Creative Problem Solver. Design Fanatic. Cheese Connoisseur. Artsy-jock-drummer-dad.
It all started when I was 1.5 years old in a coastal beach town in Croatia. I saw a freshly painted, clean white wall at my aunt's home and decided it was the perfect canvas to try out my brand new coloured pencils she had purchased for me. I channeled my inner Jackson Pollock and slashed, swirled and swooped coloured arcs and lines across the bottom of the wall. According to my mother, it was my very first masterpiece.
Fast forward 21 years later, I graduated from Sheridan College's Graphic Design program. At my first couple jobs,
I sharpened my graphic design skills. But as my experience grew, so did my creative thinking skills. My ability to ideate and strategize took centre stage and put me on the path to becoming a Creative Director.
Collecting a few awards along the way, I've lead, built and directed 360° campaigns, above-the-line mass Ad campaigns, strategized shopper marketing retail programs, TV spots, radio and of course, I was there when social media became a thing. I've done branding and design for various startups, local bands and apparel brands.
Over the last few years, I moved away from the 'Mad Men' agency life and stepped to an internal marketing team at a company where I worked on building the brand from the ground up. A tight system was created that touched everything from the mission, vision and values, brand standards, social media, internal communication templates, pitches and interior office space design.
The craziness of 2020 really made me rethink my priorities and re-evaluate my definition of work-life balance. I decided to channel all my experience into my own creative entity. It was time for me to be my own boss.
